Janet A. Pendegraft

Janet A. Pendegraft, 72, of Belleville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at home, surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 9, 1951, in St. Louis, MO, to William “Bill” and Ellen (nee Blanton) Overbey. On September 12, 1972, she married Ervin R. Pendegraft in Belleville, IL.

Janet grew up in St. Louis, MO, but spent most of her life living in Summerfield, IL. She moved in with her son, Daniel, and daughter-in-law, Lori, after her husband Ervin passed away in 2010.

Janet enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, watching TV, especially Reba and NCIS, playing brain teaser computer games, and taking care of her flowers. She loved her two dogs, Max and Camille, and spending time with her family, playing with her grandkids and great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Ervin R. Pendegraft; parents, William “Bill” and Ellen Overbey; grandson, Eric Mack; brothers, Billy Overbey and Norman Overbey.

Janet is survived by her children, James (Michelle) Mack, Olney, IL, Jason (Crystal) Pendegraft, Missouri, Daniel (Lori) Pendegraft, Belleville, IL; grandchildren, Dylan Mack, Jessica (Jarred) Wilson, Seth Mack, Alexandria (Johnathon) Pendegraft, Jared (Nicole) Pendegraft, Erica Pendegraft; great grandchildren, Leo, Carter, Elijah, Ava, Theodore; siblings, Tom (Jackie) Overbey, Summerfield, IL, Bobby (Loreta) Overbey, Belleville, IL, Randy Overbey, Summerfield, IL, Arthur Overbey, Missouri, Ruth (Clark) Missey, Chaffe, MO, Mary Overbey, Union, MO, Ora (Greg) Leverich, Idaho; many beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the family to help with funeral services.
