James “J.R.” Smith

James "J.R." Smith, 29 of Belleville, IL died May 13, 2008 at his residence.  He was Born in Belleville, IL on June 18, 1978 to Carl and Betty Jo, nee Runyon, Smith, Jr.  He married Melissa L. Auth April 28, 2003 in Belleville, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa L. Smith, children, Kaelyn Smith Kramer, Lebanon, IL; Collin James Smith, Belleville, IL; Chloe Louise Smith, Belleville, IL; Parents, Carl and Betty Jo, nee Runyon, Smith, Lebanon, IL; grandparents, Frank and Marcella Runyon, Sr. Lebanon, IL; Carl (Edna) Smith, Sr. Lebanon, IL; three sistrs and one brother, Carley Jo (Randy) Chambers, Arnold, MO; Richard Carl Smith, Lebanon, IL; Michelle (Asa) Turner, Sterling, Alaska, Kimberly Ann Holt, Blue Springs, MO; several nieces and nephews.

He was a truck driver for Metro Concrete, Lebanon, IL and had also worked for Illini Concrete in Lebanon, IL.   Member of the Teamsters Union, Local 50.

Visitation: Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL.

Funeral:  Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. @ Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL, with the Rev. Dr. Don Wagner, Pastor, St. Paul UCC, Lebanon, IL officiating.  Burial in College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, IL.
