James Hesek

James Hesek, 64, of Highland, IL died, Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL.   He was born December 28, 1945 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Betty (nee Fetchko) Hesek.  He married Barbara (nee Kaufman)  on July 4, 1997 in Chicago, IL.

He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Renee (Tom) Harpstrite, Trenton, IL; Sherry Hesek, Trenton, IL; Jaime Hesek, Mesa, AZ; Patty (Thomas) Murdach, Mesa, AZ.  Three grandchildren, Christopher Harpstrite, and Nicole Harpstrite, Trenton, IL; Rayna Murdach, Mesa, AZ; one sister, Eleanor (Frank) Jungman, Chicago, IL; 6 nephews, 1 niece, 2 great nephews.

Preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph Hesek, his parents, and a brother, Ray Hesek.

Jim was an avid fisherman, enjoyed vacationing and fishing in Arkansas.  He also enjoyed gardening.  He was a veteran serving in the US Army.  He worked in Maintenance in the Retail business.

VISITATION:  Sunday, January 24, 2010 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Monday, January 25, 2010 from 8:00 -11:00 a.m. at the Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

FUNERAL:  Monday, January 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL with Rev. Dr. Maurice Smith, officiating.  Burial in Highland City Cemetery, Highland, IL.
