James E. Wegman, 58, of Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

James was born April 15, 1956, to Edward and Irene (Nee Hediger) Wegman, in Highland, IL.

He was born in Highland and raised in Pocahontas, IL.  He enjoyed drag racing. He was a great father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was a very caring person and a very hard worker.

He is survived by his 2 children, Bridget (Andy) Wilson, Belleville, IL, Jeremy Wegman, Shiloh, IL; 4 grandchildren, Zach, Deanna, Austin, Kaylee; brothers and sisters, Bruce (Becky) Wegman, Trenton, IL, Danny Wegman, Pocahontas, IL, Pat (Rich) Koonce, Greenville, IL, Linda (Jerome) Schleper, Millersburg, IL, Kathy Michaelis, Highland, IL; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Irene Wegman; 1 brother, Kenny Wegman; 1 sister, Nancy Wegman.

Visitation: Saturday, October 4, 2014, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL.
