Jacqueline L. “Jackie” Koch, 70, of Highland, IL, died Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Faith Countryside Nursing Home, Highland, IL.

Jackie was born August 8, 1946, to Raymond and Beulah (nee Gordon) Aernouts, in St. Louis, MO. On April 1, 1989, she married Larry Koch in Hannibal, MO.

She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL. She was co-owner/operator of Larry’s Tire & Battery, from 1983-2006. She loved all animals, and had a desire to help people in need. She loved the outdoors and nature and liked camping and hunting.

Jackie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved having people over and making them feel at home, and enjoyed cooking. Jackie was a very strong person and kept going through it all.

She is survived by her Husband, Larry Koch, Highland, IL; Son, John Cunningham, Granite City, IL; Stepdaughter, Jean (Skip) Gall, Highland, IL; Grandchildren, Jessica Parsons, Sean Cunningham, Tristan Cunningham, Zachary Cunningham; Step-Grandchildren, Lauren (Jason) Dauksch, Corey Gall; Great Grandchildren, Ryann Krotz, Harper Dauksch; Sisters, Judy (Ron) Pestka, Janet Ritter, Joellen (Larry) Davis; Dear friends, Darlene Phillips, Brenda Miles; Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Raymond Aernouts; Mother, Beulah Gordon Alberti; Stepfather, Phillip Alberti; Stepmother, Beulah Aernouts; Sons, Kenny Cunningham, Billy Cunningham, Jr.

Memorials may be made to Highland Animal Shelter or St. Vincent De Paul.

Visitation: Wednesday, June 14, 2017, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 7:30 to 8:30 am, at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, June 15, 2017, at 9:00 am, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.

Clergy: Rev. Fr. Pat Jakel, Pastor.

Interment: St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Highland, IL.
