Ivan L. Brock, 94, of Albion, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Villas of Hollybrook in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
Ivan was born on July 27, 1931 in Albion, Illinois, the son of Virgil and Edna (Stennett) Brock. Ivan served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany and was a medic in the Korean war. He was a member of Samaria Baptist Church for over 45 years. Ivan spent most of his career at Case International in Albion. He loved spending his time turning a wrench and hanging with his grandkids. He was known by all farmers around several counties. He was a road commissioner after retirement. Anything with a tractor was where he wanted to be.
Ivan was married to Mary Nelle Brock and they had three children – Betty (Gene) Barnes, Diane (Ray) Miller, and Gene (Janice) Brock. Ivan is survived by seven grandchildren: Kimberly (Travis) Lee, Jackie Fleming, Courtney McGarvey, Jeff (Elizabeth) Brock, Chance (Emily) Miller, Shelby (Matt) Stangle, and Brock (Jodie) Miller; and also survived by ten great grandkids Darien (Luc) Prevost, Jace Peavler, Keylie Potts, Gavin Powell, Riley Miller, Lane Miller, Easton Stangle, Noah Stangle, Kase Miller and Allison Miller. Also surviving are two great-great grandchildren, Maya Prevost and Miles Prevost.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Mary Nelle Brock.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Samaria Cemetery, west of Albion, Illinois.
