Hazel Harris

Hazel Harris (Nee Harrop), 88, of Lebanon, IL died Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born October 5, 1926, to James and Hazel (Nee Hinthorn) Harrop, in Woodriver, IL.

She was a loving mother and housewife, always had time for her kids.  She loved to cook, watch “her” birds and hummingbirds.  Hazel loved to care for her family.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hazel Harrop; her husband, Forrest Harris (January 4, 2004); grandchild, Christopher Brock (March 24, 2013); brothers and sisters, James Harrop, Sharon Howard, Mary Foster, Robert Harrop, Joyce Harrop, in infancy.

She is survived by her children, Gerry (Lavena) Harris, Lebanon, IL, Linda (Jim) Grandstaf, Springfield, IL, Larry (Micky) Harris, Freeburg, IL, Donny (Linda) Harris, GA, Dennis (Teresa) Harris, Lebanon, IL, Doris (Jack) Brock, Lebanon, IL, Alan (Laurie) Harris, Trenton, IL, Robert Harris, Lebanon, IL, Mary (Phil) Pearson, Lebanon, IL; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Ron (Henrietta) Harrop, John (Margaret) Harrop, Janet Cato, Doris (Carl) Ratlif, Linda (Bob) James; many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Family Hospice.

Visitation: Friday, August 21, 2015, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL.
