Halyna Zitta

Halyna Zitta, nee Lysodjed, 80, of Highland, IL died Saturday, April 18, 2020, at home by her family.

Halyna was born September 23, 1939, to Jackiw and Matrona (nee Matuchin) Lysodjed, in Odessa, Russia.  On May 4, 1957, she married Daniel J. Zitta in St. Louis, MO.

Halyna was a member of St. Michael’s Russian Orthodox Church, St. Louis, MO.  She was also a member of the local club of foreign women.

She is survived by her children, Diana Debourge, Highland, IL and Daniel (Elaine) Zitta, Greenville, IL; grandchildren, Timothy (Jenna) DeBourge, BreAnne Maynard, Emily (fiance’ Drew Jameson) Zitta, Hillary (Patrick) Roy; two great granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jackiw and Matrona Lysodjed; husband, Daniel J. Zitta.
