Gordon Anthony “Tony” Goodwin

Gordon Anthony “Tony” Goodwin, 59, of West Salem, IL passed away on January 20, 2025 at his home.

Tony was born on December 3, 1965 in Terre Haute, IN to Jerry and Jo Ann (Rothrock) Goodwin. He was a lifelong member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren in Parkersburg, IL. He loved visiting with friends and family, he loved football, and he enjoyed sitting on his front porch. Tony never met a stranger and was always friendly. He possessed an inner strength, even while suffering from MS for over 20 years, he kept a smile.

Tony is survived by his wife, Linda; a son, Hunter; a step daughter Autumn and her spouse Mason; and four grandchildren: granddaughter Vada, and grandsons Maddox, Carson and Harper.

He was preceded by his mother Jo Ann; his grandparents Jonas & Edna Rothrock; his cousin Eric Rothrock; and uncle Ed Rothrock.

Visitation for Tony Goodwin will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in West Salem, IL. Funeral Services are at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren in Parkersburg, IL. Burial will follow at the church cemetery in Parkersburg, IL.
