Gloria G. Knebel, Nee Gross

Gloria G. Knebel, nee Gross, age 82, of Highland, IL died December 9, 2008 at her son's residence.  She was born in St. Jacob, IL on October 25, 1926 to Valley and Inez (Huber) Gross, both deceased.  She was married to LeRoy E. Knebel and he preceded her in death August 11, 2001.

Survived by 1 son, Denny (Connie) Knebel of Highland, IL; 2 grandchildren - Tara (Michael) Thornton, Highland, IL;  Billie (Greg) Daiber - Highland, IL; Travis (Amy) Knebel - Highland, IL; 3 great grandchildren - Karli and Reagan Thornton, Mackenzie Daiber and Kenley Knebel.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Valley "Buddy" Gross.

In addition to being a homemaker, she also worked as a dispatcher at Truck Centers, Inc. for many years.   She was a member of Evangelical UCC, Highland, IL and the VFW Auxiliary.
