Gertrude M. “Trudy” Conrad

Gertrude M. “Trudy” Conrad (Nee Rose), 91, of Highland, IL, died Friday, July 31, 2015, at Faith Care Center, Highland, IL.

Trudy was born October 7, 1923, to Benjamin and Anna (Nee Budde) Rose, in Alton, IL.  On December 10, 1949, she married Walter Conrad in Alton, IL.

Trudy was a longtime member of St. Bernards Catholic Church, Woodriver, IL before moving to Highland.  Her family was the most important thing to her.  She worked hard and wanted to instill good work ethic in her family.  She loved to play cards and spend time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed travelling, swimming and water aerobics.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Anna Rose; husband, Walter Conrad, April 2, 2011.

Trudy is survived by her daughter, Julie (Dale) Netemeyer, R. Ph., Highland, IL; granddaughter, Brianna Netemeyer; cousins.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Church or St. Louis College of Pharmacy.

Visitation: Tuesday, August 4, 2015, from 9:00 to 10:00 am at St. Paul Church, Highland, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 10:00 am, St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.

Clergy: Fr. Pat Jakel, Pastor

Interment: Highland City Cemetery.
