Gertrude A. “Mick” Donnelly

Gertrude A. “Mick” Donnelly (nee Landolt), 95, of Highland, IL, died December 9, 2011 at Delmar Gardens West, Town and Country, MO.

She was born September 10, 1916, in Saline Township North of Highland, IL to Fred and Theresa (nee Schwehr) Landolt.  On July 14, 1937 she married Edwin Henry Donnelly who died in May 1961.

Gertrude was a Homemaker and worked at Moulton-Bartley Shoe Factory, Highland, IL, Gano’s Department Store, Highland, IL, The Marine Garment Co., Highland, IL, Atlas Manufacturing, St. Louis, MO, and retired in 1972.

She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL and enjoyed her family, sewing, gardening, yard sales and crocheting.

She is survived by 3 children, Robert (Sherry Gray) Donnelly, Highland, IL, Diane Schilling, Highland, IL, Marge Donnelly, Highland, IL; 5 grandchildren, Walter and Joseph Schilling, Dan, Robert, and Ryan Donnelly; 6 great-grandchildren, Kaila, Sarah, Ashley, Amber, Garrett, Amanda.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Theresa Landolt, 2 brothers, Felton and Raymond Landolt.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Church or Donor’s Choice.

Visitation: Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Meridith Fueneral Home, Highland, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Highland, IL.
