Gene E. Wright, 73, USAF, Ret’d, of Troy, IL, died Friday, January 2, 2015, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

He was born April 9, 1941, to John and Clara (Nee Smith) Wright, in Fleming, KY. On June 1, 1979, he married Young Sun Tong, in Belleville, IL.

After high school, he served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. Then he worked Logistics for civil service in St. Louis, MO.

He is survived by his wife, Young Wright, Troy, IL; 2 children, Donna Wright, England, Gene E. Wright, England; 2 sisters, Jo Edward, Greensboro, NC and Kitty Ventible, in Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Wright; 2 brothers; 1 sister.

Visitation: Tuesday, January 6, 2015, from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL.
