Gary Walker

Gary Walker, 63, of Highland, IL, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Clayton, MO, with his family by his side.

He was born on October 15, 1962, in Fort Worth, TX, to Johnny and Wilma (nee Vieira) Walker. On March 21, 1998, he married Katherine Strong in St. Louis, MO.

Gary was a member of the Grantfork UCC and the Brotherhood of Grantfork Men’s Fellowship. Gary loved his family, but his son was his pride and joy. Gary followed sports, especially, Mizzou, Georgia and Dallas Cowboys. He only needed to visit 8 more Major League baseball stadiums, to have visited them all. In addition to his wife and son, Gary loved his fur baby, Zoey.

Gary owned and operated flower wholesaling business, Bloom Wholesale. He treated his customers very well.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Johnny and Wilma Walker; brother, Steve Walker.

Gary is survived by his wife, Katherine Walker, Highland, IL; son, John Walker, Athens, GA; fur baby, Zoey.
