Evelyn Harris

Evelyn Harris (nee Missey), 90, of Lebanon, IL, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Memorial Hospital East, Shiloh, IL.

She was born August 14, 1927, to Chester and Mae Missey in Old Mines, MO. On November 1, 1947 she married William “Bill” Harris, in Belleville, IL.

Evelyn was all about her family. She had numerous nieces and nephews and made them her own. She was a rural homemaker most of her life and loved it. She liked to garden, fish and canning. She liked flowers and plants.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Mae Missey; 8 brothers and sisters.

Evelyn is survived by her sister, Margie (Lamar) Kaiser, Trenton, IL; sister-in-law, Lillian Tarvin, Belleville, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service: Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 11:00 am at Summerfield Cemetery, Summerfield, IL.
