Evelyn E. Roniger (Nee Bukowsky)

Evelyn E. Roniger (nee Bukowsky), 95, of Splendora, TX, formerly of Highland, IL, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Regent Care Center, The Woodlands, TX.

Evelyn was born November 12, 1916, to Martin and Emma (nee Schuttner) Bukowsky, in St. Louis, MO.  On May 1, 1938, she married Garvin F. Roniger in St. Louis, MO.

Evelyn was a homemaker and member of St. Paul Church, Highland, IL.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Rosemarie (Jim Edwards) Weiss, Millersburg, IL, Maryann Steward, Splendora, TX; 7 grandchildren, James (Sharon) Weiss, Janice Rommerskirchen, Brian (Keri) Thoele, Donna (Tom) Partain, Brenda (Roy) Millican, Melissa (Terry) Sadler, Elizabeth (Kevin) Brutto; 11 great-grandchildren, Holly, Jacob, Laura, Andrew, Joseph, Kevin Jr., Steven, Nic, Ethan, Keegan, and Jillian; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Emma Bukowsky; her husband, Garvin Roniger; 1 daughter, Gloria Lopez; 2 sisters, Edna Morris, Alvera Greer.

Visitation: Monday, April 9, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, April 10, 2012, from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL

Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.

Clergy: Rev. Fr. Paul Kala, Parochial Vicar

Interment: Hug Cemetery, Millersburg, IL.
