Emma M. Strack

Emma M. Strack, 88, of Lebanon, IL, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital, Breese, IL.

Emma was born March 28, 1922, to William and Elizabeth (Nee Rochell) Knoebel near Belleville, IL.  On August 9, 1953 she married Emil Strack at Zion Lutheran Church, in Belleville, IL.

Emma was a farming homemaker, and worked for many years as a Practical Nurse.  She worked several years at Bohannon Nursing Home and did Practical Nursing for private individuals.  She was a Charter Member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Lebanon, IL, and was a member of the Ladies Aid group.

She is survived by: 4 Children, Betty (Gregory Mueller) Strack, Highland Park, IL, Ruth (Charles Hunze) Strack Hunze, Cape Girardeau, MO, Lee Strack, Lebanon, IL, Larry Strack, Lebanon, IL; 1 Brother, John Knoebel, Sr., Belleville, IL; Several Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, William and Elizabeth Knoebel; her husband, Emil Strack; 1 sister, Wilma Kniepkamp; 1 sister-in-law, Helen Knoebel.

Memorials may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church or Hanover Lutheran Church.

Visitation: Thursday, December 16, 2010, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL, and Friday, December 17, 2010 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, Lebanon, IL.

Funeral: Friday, December 17, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at Messiah Lutheran Church.

Clergy: Rev. Brian Holle, Pastor

Interment: Saturday, December 18, 2010, 11:00 a.m., at Hanover Cemetery, Cape Girardeau, MO.
