Ellis Brown

Ellis Brown, age 81, of Lebanon, Illinois born March 23, 1933 in Greenup, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014 with loving family by his side.

Ellis served in the Air Force for 24 years before retiring in 1977.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He was a loyal St. Louis Cardinal fan and car enthusiast.  He had a very kind heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Hardin and Maggie Brown, mother-in-law, Beulah Messing and sons Timothy “TJ” and Roger Brown.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Shirley Brown of Lebanon; his children Robert (Mary) Brown of Fenton, Mo; Tricia (Wes) Bartlett of Nashville, TN; Rick (Gayle) Brown of St. Louis, Sandy (Steve) Chihos of Orlando; Steve (Elane) Brown of Tampa, FL; Linda (Tom) Biondo of Belleville, IL; many grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the light of his life.

Friends can call from 9 to 11 A.M. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, Illinois.  Services, with full military honors, will begin at 11 A.M.
