Ella R. Doty

Ella R. Doty (Nee Harper), 72, of Lebanon, IL, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at her residence with her family by her side.

Ella was born January 3, 1944 to Everett and Margie (Nee Melton) Harper in Appleton, AR. On March 26, 1977 she married Albert Doty in Belleville, IL.

She worked as a medical transcriptionist for the hospital. She was a member of 1 ^st United Methodist Church, Lebanon, IL. Ella participated in and helped out at food pantry, Angel Tree and funeral luncheons. Any way she could serve the Church, she was willing. Ella loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She made it a point to make as many sporting events of theirs as she could. She would always put her family before her own wants.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Margie Harper; her husband, Albert Doty.

Ella is survived by her children, Alan (Tracy) Doty, Kevin (Candis) Doty, Brian (Allyson) Doty; grandchildren, Raleigh, Connor, Wyatt, Kullen, Kyler, Maxwell Doty; sisters, Mary (Gary) Foland, Viva (John Dalton) Gravot; close friends, Cathy Clayton and Luanne Holper.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Siteman Cancer Center.

Visitation: Friday, September 16, 2016, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday, September 17, 2016, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at 1 ^st United Methodist Church, Lebanon, IL.

Funeral: Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 2:00 pm at 1 ^st United Methodist Church..

Clergy: Rev. Kim Hagedorn, Pastor

Interment: At a later date.
