Eleanor Marie Case Ephraim

Eleanor Marie Case Ephraim, 91, of Bone Gap, Illinois passed away on January 6, 2026, at her son’s home in Bone Gap, Illinois.

Eleanor was born in Olney, Illinois on October 15, 1934 to Alice (Scherer) and Russell Koertge. On June 18, 1952 she married Ivan Case and they shared 42 years together.

Eleanor is survived by 2 sons, Karl (Kathy) Case and Karson (Sarah) Case; 3 grandchildren Kyle (Mariah) Case, Josh (Katie) Case, and Ashley (Laramey) Wiseman; grand daughters-in-law Melody and Erin; 21 grandchildren Konner, Katelyn, Kolter, Keaton, Ellany, Emersyn, Kaiser, Kollin, Markus, Ember, Rafe, Makenna, Clayton, Hallie, Jack, Sarah, Everett, and Carolina Case and Lane, Case and Gage Wiseman.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Alice Koertge; her husband Ivan Case; siblings Jack and Patricia Koertge; and 2 grandsons, Karl August and Kris Case.

Public graveside services for Eleanor will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bone Gap Cemetery in Bone Gap, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eleanor’s memory to One Mission Society, whom Eleanor and Ivan were very faithful to support and serve with that ministry. Donation envelopes will be available at the graveside.
