Earl Lee Tannahill

Earl Lee Tannahill, 73, of Olney, Illinois passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, at his residence.

Earl was born February 10, 1952, to Ted and Lorene (States) Tannahill at Cisne, Illinois.

Earl was a self-employed Landlord and owned several properties in the surrounding areas and managed them himself, for as long as his health allowed him to. He was a member of the Elks and Eagles Club in Olney, Il.

Earl is survived by his daughter, Shyann Purviance; and one son, Jonathon Lee Tannahill; a sister, Linda Humphrey; four brothers, Jim Tannahill, Joe Tannahill, Charles Tannahill, and Walter Tannahill; one grandchild. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Lorene Tannahill, brothers, Jerry Tannahill and Frank Tannahill.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home in Cisne, IL. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at the funeral home.

Memorials in memory of Earl may be given to Shyann and will be accepted at the funeral home.
