Doris Mae Greifzu

Doris Mae (Bare) Greifzu,87, of Olney, IL passed from this life on November 22, 2022, at Flora Gardens Nursing Home, Flora, IL.  She was born May 3, 1935, to Roy and Lillie (Morris) Bare in Edwards County, IL.  Doris married Russell Greifzu on July 2, 1952.

She loved time with family, helping others, quilting, gardening, shopping, and her dog Bo.  She was employed with Champion Laboratories for several years before retiring.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Lillie Bare, her husband Russell Greifzu, son Bart Greifzu, great-grandson Brantley Charles Greifzu, brothers; George Bare, Bob Bare, Kenny Bare, Neal Bare and Leroy Bare.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah (Jim) Stover; sons, Dan (Kathy) Greifzu, Richard Greifzu, and Brett Greifzu; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sister Sue (Jim) Scott, brother Gerald Bare and close friends Carol Anderson, Loretta Buckles and Barb Michels.

Graveside service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2022, Marion Christian Church Cemetery.  West Salem, IL.
