Dora H. Garrison, nee Berkbigler, 89, of Lebanon, IL born May 22, 1917 in Apple Creek, MO., died Wednesday, March 6, 2007, at Northwest Health Care, St. Louis, MO.
Dora was a homemaker and had worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" during World War II and had worked at Electroseal Co. in Aurora, IL. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lebanon, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. Garrison whom she married, April 12, 1943, in Apple Creek, Mo., and who died Dec. 9, 1992; her parents, Joseph and Helen, nee Renner, Berkbigler; three brothers, Andrew Berkbigler, Rudy Berkbigler, and Ewald Berkbigler; and two sisters, Louise Govero and Ida Basler.
Surviving are her son, Gary (Mary Jane) Garrison of Florissant, MO; two grandchildren, Keith and Leah Garrison of Florissant, Mo and a brother, Alfred (Clara) Berkbigler, Sappington, Mo.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Cemetery in care of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lebanon, IL.
Visitation: Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007, and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2007 at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lebanon, IL with the Rev. James Dougherty officiating.
