Donald Lloyd Book

Donald Lloyd Book, 74, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Flora Rehab and Health Care Center at Flora, Illinois.

Donald was born April 26, 1947, to Lloyd L. Eileen (Dean) Book at Fairfield, Illinois.

Donald was a machine operator at Hella in Flora, Illinois.  He loved reading and studying the Bible.  He was a Christian man who loved to spread the word of God.  The gift is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, Romans 6:23.

Donald is survived by four daughters Brenda Book of Flora, Illinois, Rhonda (Travis) Spencer of Houston, Texas, Joanne (Benny) Reyes of Kell, Illinois, Monica (Nathan) Monaghan of Waltonville, Illinois; two sisters Sharon and the late (Dale) Rice of Fort Worth, Texas, Sandy and the late (Buke) Lake of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; and a brother Richard (Cheri) Book of  Cisne, Illinois; nine granddaughters Katelynne, Mikayela, Shelbi, Tristan, Malyna, Aubrie, Khloe, Alaina and Layla, five grandsons Derek, Nicholas, Parker, Paitan and TJ, also surviving are two great grandchildren Bailey and Bryden.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and sister.

A celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, January 2, 2022, at 2:ooPM at the Double Tree Hotel in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

His wishes were to have his ashes divided between the four daughters.

Memorials may be given to the Flora Food Pantry.
