Donald D. Potts

Donald D. Potts, 75, of Pocahontas, IL, died Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at his residence, with his family by his side.

Don was born March 7, 1937, to Andrew and Marie (nee Charlier) Potts, in Granville, IL.  On July 14, 1971 he married Joan Mary Sohn, in Centralia, IL.

Don was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church, Greenville, IL.  He was a member of Laborers Local 622 – Greenville, IL, for over 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Joan M. Potts, Pocahontas, IL; 5 children, Donald J. (Deborah) Potts, Ronald Dean (Debra) Potts, Michael E. Potts, Lynn (D. L.) Caulberg, Gregory A. (Kelley) Sohn; 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 3 sisters, June Rench, Viola Ennen, Eileen (James) Talford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Marie Potts; 8 brothers and sisters, Alice Hair, Irene Lee, Andrew Potts, Earl Potts, Gene Potts, Louis Potts, Henry Potts, Maxine Potts in childhood.

Memorials may be made to Smith Grove Baptist Church, Greenville, IL.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Smith Grove Baptist Church, Greenville, IL.

Interment at Green Cemetery, Millersberg, IL.
