Dixie Jean Caudill

Dixie Jean Caudill, age 69 of Columbus, GA passed from this life to the next on August 27, 2018 at her home.

Dixie was born in Edwards county on December 1, 1948 to Rex and Hazel (Webb) Short.

She married William “Bud” Caudill on September 6, 1969 and he preceded her in death in 2009.

Dixie was a hairdresser and later in life, was an over-the-road truck driver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Douglas Short and one sister, Patsey Dunn.

She leaves many fond memories for her survivors, which include: one daughter, Kami Caudill, and one son, Kevin Caudill, both of Columbus, GA., one brother, Samuel (Connie) Short of Browns, IL, two uncles: Loren Webb of Albion and Bruce Webb of Grayville, IL. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside service for Dixie Jean Caudill will be held at 4:30 PM on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Bethel Cemetery, rural Ellery, IL. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
