Deloris Gash

Deloris E. Gash, 87, of Albion, Illinois passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Deloris was born on January 3, 1939 in Sailor Springs, Illinois, the daughter of Virgil and Dorothy (Cook) Johnson. She married Larry E. Gash in 1960, and they lived north of Albion, Illinois, enjoying many happy years until his passing in 2006. She worked at GTE in Olney, and then at Johnnye Manufacturing and Champion Laboratories in Albion, retiring from Champion.

Deloris is survived by her daughter, Shauna (Rodney) Weems of Xenia, Illinois; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Larry; sons Steven Gash and Shane Gash; and brothers Gene Johnson and Dale Johnson.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 11:00 am at Dillman Cemetery, Sailor Springs, Clay County, Illinois.

Memorials in the name of Deloris Gash can be made to the Albion Public Library in Albion, Illinois.
