Deborah “Debi” K. Birdsong

Deborah “Debi” K. Birdsong, nee Frueke, 44, of Mascoutah, Illinois, born May 23, 1965, died Sunday, October 18, 2009, at her residence.

Debi was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alphonse and Virginia Frueke, LeRoy and Pearl Meyer, and two brothers, Joseph Frueke and Larry Frueke.

Surviving are her children, Brittanie N. Sergerson and Dakota L. Sergerson, and a granddaughter, Maddalynne R. Sergerson, all at home; her parents, Richard and Kay Frueke, of Mascoutah, Illinois; her brothers, Rick Frueke and Terry Frueke of Mascoutah, Illinois; her sisters, Diana (Jose) Vazquez of O’Fallon, Illinois and Teresa (Greg) Dunning, of Aviston, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Derek and Dustin Jones, Nathan Vazquez, and Joshua and Jenna Dunning; aunts; uncles; cousins; and dear friends, Wayne and Joyce.

God saw you getting

tired and a cure was not

to be, so he put his arms

around you and whispered

“Come with me”.

With tearful eyes we

watched you suffer

and saw you fade away.

Although we loved you dearly,

We could not make you stay.

A precious heart stopped beating,

working hands were laid to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove,

He only takes the best.

Rest in peace, Debi.  We love you and miss you.

Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, Illinois.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.., Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, Illinois with Rev. Skip Mize officiating.  Burial will be at College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, Illinois.
