Daniel G. Hubbard, Sr.

Daniel G. Hubbard, Sr., 77, of Highland, IL, died Monday, January 27, 2014, at Highland Health Care Center, Highland, IL.

Dan was born May 25, 1936 to John G. and Comila (Nee Medley) Hubbard, in Richwoods, Missouri.  On May 16, 1955, he married Lou Ann Limberg in St. Charles, MO.

He was an operator at Granite City Steel for 33 ½ years.  Dan was drafted in 1958 and signed up for the Air Force and served 4 years active duty.  He was a 22 year member of American Legion Post 0365, Collinsville, IL.  Dan loved God and his family.  He was a devoted husband and best dad you could have.  He loved to fish and hunt.

Dan is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Hubbard, Highland, IL; 1 son, Daniel (Peggy) Hubbard, Jr., Highland, IL; 5 grandchildren, Daniel (Dawn) Hubbard III, Doug (Stephany) Hubbard, Derrek Hubbard, Renee (James) Hooton, Connie (Lance) Litteken; 5 greatgrandchildren, Kallie, Lucas, Alyson, Caleb and Karlie; 1 sister, Rosalie Lancaster; 2 brother, John (Kathy) Hubbard, and Walter (Joanie) Hubbard; many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Francis Hubbard, James Hubbard, Gene Hubbard, Junior Hubbard.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Highland, IL, Heartland Hospice or American Stroke Foundation.
