Cynthia S. Taylor

Cynthia S. Taylor, 64, of Highland, IL, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

Cyndie was born December 3, 1956 to David and Virginia (nee Knisely) Childers, in Amherst, OH.  On March 25, 1983 she married Rick Taylor in South Amherst, OH.

She was a member of Net Community Church, in Staunton, IL.  Cyndie was the lifeblood of Blake Schrumpf State Farm Insurance office, and often referred to as “momma” to the staff.  The community will miss her insurance wisdom and genuine care.

Cyndie was a beautiful person taken away too soon.  She lived for her family and adored her grandchildren.  She was always active, playing volleyball, traveling, enjoying any beach she could visit, and spending time outdoors.  She loved to work in her garden and take care of her flowers.  Cyndie and Rick built a beautiful home filled with love and music.  Her love of home improvement projects and interior design kept Rick frequently guessing and always on his toes.  A fun-loving, selfless person who put everyone first, especially her family. She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rick Taylor; parents, David and Virginia Childers; brother, Jim Gutman; mother-in-law, Patricia Taylor.

Cyndie is survived by her children, Thomas (Sarah) Taylor, Nashville, IL, Derrick (Ailee) Taylor, Staunton, IL, Nicole (Shane) Simmons, Troy, IL; grandchildren, Alivia Taylor, Lucy Taylor, Faith Taylor, Benjamin Taylor, Charlotte Taylor, Carson Simmons, Wyatt Simmons; siblings, Sharon, Joyce, Barbara & David; father-in-law, Charles (C.W.) Taylor.

Memorials may be made to Children’s Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, or St. Jude’s Hospital

The family will have a Private Service, Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at 10:00 am.  Friends are invited to attend online at www.Mosaicil.com
