Cleta L. Schuchmann (Nee Nettles), 88, of Pocahontas, IL, died Friday, February 1, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL.

Cleta was born June 1, 1924 to John Adam and Janie Rose (Nee Golder) Nettles, in Carlyle, IL. On May 15, 1946 she married Carl Schuchmann at Hopewell Church, Clinton County, IL.

Cleta was a member of United Methodist Church, Pocahontas, IL. She was a homemaker. She loved her family, loved to sew, and was active in the church for most of her life.

She is survived by 3 children, Carolyn Wamble, Sharon Schuchmann, Sue (Louis) Parizon; 2 grandchildren, Mark Allen (Maricris) Schuchmann, Aaron Jordan (Leslie) Parizon; 1 great-grandchildren, Sara Schuchmann; 1 step-great-grandchildren, Eleana Buenvenida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Janie Nettles; her husband, Carl Schuchmann; 2 sons, David Schuchmann, Kenneth Schuchmann; 1 brother, Raymond Nettles; 1 sister, Helen Nettles.

Visitation: Tuesday, February 5, 2013, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Wednesday, February 6, 2013, from 8:00 to 11:00 am at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL.

Funeral: Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 11:00 am at Meridith Funeral Home.
