Charles Royce Richison

CHARLES ROYCE RICHISON, 93, of Belleville, Illinois, formerly of Modesto and Cisne, Illinois, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the home of his daughter in Belleville, Illinois.

Charles was born October 28, 1926 at Cisne, Illinois to Chestel Ray and M. Edna (McConnell) Richison.  He married Roberta Burton who preceded him in death and later married Gloria Ann Ripper, and she preceded him in death April 14, 2001.

Charles was a minister at Scottville Christian Church at Scottville, Illinois, and a retired insurance agent for Country Companies. He was a member of Scottville Christian Church, Modesto Christian Church and Palmyra Lions Club.

Charles is survived by three daughters Donna (Kenneth) Rash of Chandler, Arizona, Charlotte (Richard) Bersett of Belleville, Illinois and Kay Roarty of Millstadt, Illinois, and a son Mark (Julie) Richison of Mt. Carmel, Illinois. Also surviving are two nephews Larry Richison of Carbondale, Illinois and Terry Richison of St Charles, Missouri, twelve grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Roberta, wife Gloria, infant son John D. Richison, a brother Wallace Galen Richison and a sister-in-law Anna Mae Richison.

There will be a private family funeral service held at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cisne Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Shiloh Christian Children’s Ranch at Shelbina, Missouri and will be accepted at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home.
