Charles E. “Chuck” Grapperhaus

Charles E. “Chuck” Grapperhaus, died Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL.

He was born December 11, 1940, to John and Irene (Nee Kohlbrecher) Grapperhaus in St. Rose, IL.  He married Marilyn Hostmeyer November 28, 1964, in Beckemeyer, IL.

Chuck was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL, and Knights of Columbus, Highland, IL.  He liked a lot of sports; he loved to play euchre.  He enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports.

He is survived by:  his Wife, Marilyn Grapperhaus, Highland, IL; 2 Sons, Michael (Sharon) Grapperhaus, Troy, IL, Mark (Debra) Grapperhaus, Evansville, IL; 5 Grandchildren, Clarissa, Ty, Megan, Logan, Ben Grapperhaus; 1 Sister, Mary Lou (Joe) Fischer; 2 Brothers, Jim (Mae) Grapperhaus, John (Charlene) Grapperhaus; 1 Sister-in-law, Edna Grapperhaus; Several Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his Parents, John and Irene Grapperhaus; 1 Brother, Paul Grapperhaus.

Visitation: Friday, September 10, 2010, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., and from 7:30 until 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, September 11, 2010, at 9:00 a.m., at St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.

Clergy: Rev. Charles A. Edwards, Pastor.

Interment: St. Joseph Cemtery, Highland, IL
