Carolyn S. Jackson

Carolyn S. Jackson, 77, of Highland, IL, died Saturday, July 14, 2018, at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

Carolyn was born May 7, 1941, to Herman and Janet (nee Carson) Sparks, in Centralia, IL. On March 24, 1962, she married James H. Jackson at Hope Lutheran Church, Highland, IL.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She took care of all her family when they were in need. She was a Den Mother for her son's Boy Scout Den, in Pack 43. She liked yard sales, antiques, collecting dolls and she loved Elvis. She also loved animals, the outdoors, and camping. Carolyn "adopted" all of her children's friends as her own.

She is survived by her Husband, James H. Jackson, Highland, IL; Children, James A. Jackson, Highland, IL, and Connie (Ted) Zobrist, Highland, IL; Grandchild, Brittany R. (significant other, Junior Jackson) Zobrist; Great Grandchild, Ember Victoria Jackson; Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Herman and Janet Sparks.

Memorials may be made to Highland Animal Shelter, Shriners Children's Hospital, or HACSM.

Visitation: Wednesday, July 18, 2018, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, and Thursday, July 19, 2018, from 8:00 to 10:00 am, at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.
