Carole "Sue" Yates (nee Bradley), 77, of Highland, IL, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at Hitz Memorial Home, Alhambra, IL.

Sue was born January 24, 1937, to Fred and Frieda (nee Evans) Bradley.  In 1954, she married James Franklin in Fairview Heights, IL, who preceded her in death.   In November 1984, she married Robert Yates in Belleville, IL, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church, Highland, IL.  She worked as a commercial insurance underwriter for several companies, and retired from Schickedanz Insurance Agency in Belleville, IL.  Sue enjoyed reading, playing cards, and working with crafts.

She is survived by 1 Son, Dale Franklin, Ramsey, IL; 2 Daughters, Sue (Alan) Wooters, Plattsmouth NE, and Diana Walls, Pierron, IL; 1 Daughter-in-Law, Betty Franklin; 6 Grandchildren, Melissa (Paul) Fredrickson, Tammy Walls, James (Leslie) Franklin, Brandy Franklin, Matthew (Katie) Franklin, Tina (Brian) Harvey; 8 Great Grandchildren; 2 Brothers, Dan (Kim) Bradley, Richmond, VA, Steve (Debbie) Bradley, Lockwood, MI; 1 Sister, Dixie LePes, Millstadt, IL; 1 Sister-in-Law, Mary Bradley, Marquette, MI; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 1 Son, James Franklin; 1 Son-in-Law, Tom Walls; an Infant Great Grandchild; her Parents, Fred and Frieda Bradley; 2 Brothers, Richard Bradley, Michael Bradley; 1 Sister-in-Law, Alma Bradley.

Memorials may be made to the Hitz Memorial Home, Alhambra, IL.

Visitation:  Friday, February 28, 2014, 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL, and Saturday, March 1, 2014, 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Southern Baptist Church, Highland, IL.

Funeral Service:  Saturday, March 1, 2014, at 11:00 am at the Southern Baptist Church, Highland, IL.

Clergy:  Rev Billy Blackmon, Pastor, Southern Baptist Church, Highland, IL

Interment:  At a later date.
