Carol A. Baker

Carol A. Baker, 89, of Highland, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

She was born on November 6, 1936, in East St. Louis, IL, to Charles and Caroline (nee Erhart) Norton. On June 25, 1960, she married Hubert “Glenn” Baker in Washington Park, IL.

Carol liked to crochet and crafts. She was also a quilter who made sure everyone had a blanket of their own. She enjoyed the many activities with the Highland Senior Citizens Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Caroline Norton; and twin sisters, Jean and Joan Norton.

Carol is survived by her husband of 66 years, Glenn Baker; children, Christine A. (Scott) Barrios and Michael G. Baker; grandson, Daniel (Athena) Barrios; and great granddaughter, Rhilynn Barrios.
