Brandon Alan Cooper, age 43, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, in Michigan. A resident of Kokomo, Indiana, Brandon spent his formative years in Albion, Illinois.
Born on July 5, 1982, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, to Larry A. and Brenda (Root) Cooper, Brandon grew into a man who truly appreciated life's adventures. He was employed as an office and project coordinator for Red Diamond Contracting. Brandon possessed a natural curiosity; he was a passionate collector who could always be found scouring yard sales and antique shops for hidden treasures. He loved to travel and explore the world, living by the philosophy of never vacationing in the same place twice—unless it was his favorite cabin in Michigan. A true foodie, he loved exploring new restaurants with his fiancée, Ashleigh.
Some of his happiest moments were spent outdoors; he loved the 4-wheeler and cherished taking his fiancée and children on rides through the pasture at his family’s home, as well as cruising down all of the trails in Michigan. More than anything, Brandon was a dedicated family man whose world revolved around his fiancée, their six children, and their loved ones.
His legacy lives on through his parents, Larry and Brenda Cooper; his fiancée, Ashleigh Bush; and their six children, Aiden Cooper, Isabel Cooper, Averie Bush, Blake Bush, Carleigh Bush, and Chloe Cooper. He also leaves behind his brother, Brian Cooper, and a loving extended family of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Brandon's life on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Ingram Meridith Funeral Home in Albion, IL. The family is requesting casual attire and to wear green which was Brandon’s favorite color. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at the time of the viewing and services to help support the future expenses of his beloved children and family.
