Bradley E. “Brad” Hartnagel, 57, of Pocahontas, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Greenville Nursing & Rehab in Greenville, IL.

He was born on September 17, 1968, in Highland, IL, to George and Sharon (nee Haberer) Hartnagel.

Brad enjoyed being outdoors, especially scouting, hunting, and fishing. He also had a passion for racing. For many years, he worked as a flagman at local racetracks, where he made many friends and enjoyed being around that community.

His family was always important to him. His three daughters meant the world to him, and he was so proud of each of them. He also treasured the time he spent with his three grandsons and the memories they made together.

Brad will be remembered for his easygoing nature, his passion for the outdoors, and the special place he held in his family’s hearts.

He will be missed more than words can say, but his memories will stay with us forever.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Hartnagel.

Brad is survived by his mother, Sharon Hartnagel; daughters, Amara (Justin Knackstedt) Hartnagel, Brianna (Dallas) Hopkins, and Kenley Hartnagel; grandchildren, Jace Knackstedt, Briggs Knackstedt, and Dallas Bradley Hopkins; brother, Ron (Tina) Hartnagel; and nephews, Trevor (Haley) Hartnagel and Cale (Courtney) Hartnagel.
