Betty Harding

Betty Harding, 93, of Collinsville, IL, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Care Center at Center Grove, in Edwardsville, IL.

Betty was born, April 22, 1928 to Arnis and Bonnie Bell (nee Lynch) Flippen in Hickman, KY.  She married Leland Harding on January 29, 1946 in Union City, TN and they were married for 63 wonderful years.

She was a member of the Faith Family Church in Shiloh, IL.  During her career she was in the field of Accounting for a Photography company.  Betty lived in the Collinsville, IL area for over 70 years.

Betty’s children and grandchildren were the love of her life.  She enjoyed gardening, photography, and was an excellent cook, who would never let anyone go home hungry.  She will always be remembered for being a wonderful family woman who was quite feisty.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnis and Bonnie Flippen; husband, Leland Harding; son, Jack Harding.

Betty is survived by her children, Ken (Wanda) Harding, Kathy (Jim) Cusumano; grandchildren, Alex (Michelle) Harding, Tyson (Shaynie) Harding, Todd (Tina) Harding and Lindsey (Jared) Claunch; great-grandchildren, Alex Harding, Madelyn Harding, Talen Harding, Keyan Harding, Riggs Harding, Lorelai Claunch; many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
