Barbara L. Totty, 87, of Collinsville, IL, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026, at her home in Collinsville, IL.
She was born on August 1, 1938, in East St. Louis, to Harlan and Marjorie (nee Milligan) Williams.
Barbara lived a life defined by hard work, unwavering faith, and a deep love for her family. Beginning her career as a bartender at a young age, she became a familiar and beloved face behind the bar at the Kracker Box, where she spent many years serving friends and neighbors with a smile. She was also a dedicated employee of Grandpa Pidgeon's for many years, earning the respect and admiration of all who worked alongside her.
In her free time, Barbara found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time fishing, keeping her home spotless, and preparing meals for those she loved. Above all else, however, her family was the center of her world. She cherished every moment with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by those she loved.
Barbara was a woman of strong faith who loved the Lord and lived her life guided by her beliefs. A devoted Baptist, she especially treasured the old hymns that filled her heart with comfort and joy.
Barbara's legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Marjorie Williams; loving partner of 37 years, James Davenport; children, Charles Williams, Brian Williams, Michael Totty; grandchildren, Shane Totty, Anna Marie Williams; siblings, Delores Landreth, John Williams, Charles “Pork Chop” Williams, Bliss Williams
Barbara is survived by her children, Ron Day, Marilyn Moll, Debra (Kenneth) Hayes; daughter-in-law, Tina Williams; step-children, Doug Totty, Jim (Kelly) Davenport, Jr., Diana Merrell; grandchildren, Tiffany McDaniel, Krystal (Jason) Landfried, Brandy Hayes, Andy (Hannah) McDaniel, Vanessa Totty, Phillip Williams, Jennifer Baker, Melissa Day, Jessica Day; many step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Visitation: Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.
