Barbara J. Mckune

Barbara J. McKune, 77, of Highland, IL, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Highland Health Care.

Barbara was born on February 5, 1936, in L’Erable, IL, to Lemaunel and Suzanne (nee Coash) Derington.

She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.  She was office manager at G&S Freight Service for 24 years.  Barbara was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, a member of the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary, a member of the Daughters of Isabella, a member of Royal Neighbors, and a member of the Weinheimer Senior Citizens.  She enjoyed casino gambling, was an avid reader, enjoyed baking, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, bingo, bowling, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Daniel (Betty) Burton, Kankakee, IL, Perry (Debbie) Burton, Bradley, IL, Dana (Gary) Reimler, Cedar Hill, MO; grandchildren, Kelly (Ryan) Kelley, Jennifer Burton, P.J. (Jennifer) Burton, Kristin Reimler, Nick Reimler; great grandchildren, Tyler Kelley, Gabe Kelley, Jude Burton; one brother, Lindbergh (Peggy) Derington, Bradenton, FL, three sisters, Virginia Migogna, Kankakee, IL, Helen (Bob) Klaiss, Bradley, IL, Deanne Howard, Greenwood, SC; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lemaunel and Suzanne Derington; one brother Berwyn Derington; one sister Leola Ratliff.

Visitation:  Thursday, May 23, 2013, 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Friday, May 24, 2013, 8:00 to 10:00 am, at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

Funeral:  Friday, May 24, 2013, at 10:00 am, at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

Clergy:  Rev. Scott Snider, Parochial Vicar, St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, IL.

Interment:  At a later date.
