Ava N. Hewitt, 72, of Highland, IL, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Helia Healthcare in Greenville, IL.
She was born February 3, 1939 to Raymond and Alberta (nee Norris) Prater in St. Louis, MO and they preceded her in death.
She worked for many years at Jakel Manufacturing in Quality Control then at Walmart as a cashier.
She is survived by 3 children, Vicki Risley, Riverton, IL, Michael (Cherish) Risley, Beckemeyer, IL, Darrin (Sandra) Hewitt, Pocahontas, IL; 4 brothers, Wayne Prater, Bill (Darnell) Prater, Tom Prater, Dennis Prater; grandchildren, Nick Risley, Joshua and Jesse Jones, Chrystal, Nathan and Steven Curry.
Memorial Visitation: Friday, July 1, 2011 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.
