Apolonia Van Voorden (nee Abeen), 86, of Highland, IL, died Sunday, November 11, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL.
Apolonia was born April 14, 1926 to Roelf and Barbara (Nee Meurers) Abeen, in Amsterdam, The Netherlans. She married Frederik Van Voorden in Chicago, IL.
She was born into a family that owned a small circus, and she spent her life travelling the world as a Foot Juggler.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Timothy Tegge) Van Voorden, St. Louis, MO; her grandson, Frederik “Rick” Van Voorden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roelf and Barbara Abeen; her husband, Frederik Van Voorden; 2 brothers.
Private services are scheduled.
