Andrew C. “Andy” Guenther

Andrew C. “Andy” Guenther, 95, of Breese, IL, formerly of Lebanon, IL, died Thursday, February 17, 2011, at Breese Nursing Center, Breese, IL.

He was born November 28, 1915 to Louis and Ora (nee Malone) Guenther.  On September 25, 1940 he married Ruth K. Krump, in Manchester, MO.

Andy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lebanon, IL, and Lebanon Singers Society.  He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII, Pacific Theatre.  After that working for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier for 40 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf.

He is survived by many dear friends including Jim and Linda Trame, Lebanon, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ora Guenther; his wife of almost 70 years, Ruth Guenther.

Graveside service: Saturday, February 19, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., at College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, IL.

Interment: College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, IL.
