Adam “Bill” Schobert, 86, died Thursday, November 16, 2017, at St. Paul Senior Living, Belleville, IL.

Bill was born July 18, 1931, to Joseph and Maria (nee Evans) Schobert, in Lebanon, IL. On November 7, 1987, he married Marian (nee Ogle) Glauber at the Cathedral in Belleville, IL.

He was a devoted husband to Marian. Bill was an avid woodworker, bee keeper & model train enthusiast. He also had a passion for tractors & steam engines. Bill and Marian enjoyed going antiquing. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marian Schobert, Lebanon, IL.; step-children, Steven (Lynn) Glauber, Hillsboro, MO, Walter (Vicki Straeter) Glauber, O’Fallon, IL, Jim (Mary Pat) Glauber, St. Louis, MO, Jean (Jeff) Hunsaker, Bridgeton, MO, Joan (John) Ross, Collinsville, IL; cousin, Anna (Earnest) Parker; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Maria Schobert; stepson, Thomas Charles Glauber.
