There are a variety of choices in planning a funeral service. As a full service funeral home, we strive to provide options that are right for your loved one.
Final arrangements may include a visitation and a funeral service followed by a committal service at the cemetery. You may opt for a funeral service followed by a cremation. Another option is a memorial service. This is a beautiful ceremony honoring the memory of your loved one at which the body is not present. Whichever funeral service you select, Meridith Funeral Home is committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction.
If you have questions about any of our services, please feel free to contact a funeral director at any of our locations.
Pre-planning
More and more people today are pre-planning their funerals. This thoughtful option allows you to design the type of service you prefer in advance of the actual event.
Many families opt for pre-planning because it helps those around them during what can be a difficult time. Taking the time to make these arrangements is a gift to be given at the time of their loved one’s death.
Pre-planning allows for flexibility in terms of the funeral home you select. Even if you already have a pre-planned arrangement at another funeral home, Meridith Funeral Home can assist you in your final arrangements as most plans allow you to change the home you ultimately utilize. This is true even if you have pre-funded your funeral.
Pre-funding has the advantage of locking in your arrangements at today’s prices. This also has the added advantage of alleviating the financial burden from your loved ones. Provided all the arrangements remain the same, there will be no charges at the time of death
